Det finns ett event som jag alltid kommer minnas som en vändpukt. Min första festival, första gången Rockweekend tog form. Det var även min första gång jag fick se Alice Cooper. Mitt starkaste minne är då vi sitter i campingen och diskuterar. Vi hör Cooper genrepa. Jag sitter där bland Cooper veterander och jag vinner i låtgissningar. Inte en av hans bästa låtar, men ett starkt minne till låten Dragontown.

Day 05 - A song that reminds you of someone

Idag sitter jag och velar mellan två låtar igen. Två olika minnen med olika personen och två olika känslor. Jag väljer nog det sorgsna. Men även den viktigare. Good Charlottes låt Hold on. För någon månad sen beslöt sig en vän till familjen att avsluta sitt liv. Att han inte hade något mer att tillföra. Det är omöjligt att höra den låten och inte tänka på han, och barnen han lämnade kvar. Låtens budskap är så vacker. Så det var min andra tatuering jag gjorde. Längs revbenet har det nu stått "Hold on if you feel like letting go. Hold on it gets better than you know" i några år nu.

Det finns en låt som får min mage att knyta ihop sig. En välskriven låt. En sorgsen låt. Det är en Pink Floyd låt. När han sjunger How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl. Year after year. Blir knuten extra stor. Frustation över livet som aldrig blir rätt för oss alla.

Hur ska jag kunna välja en av alla mina godbitar? Det finns allt för många, jag står och velar mellan två låtar men en som är återkommande. En som aldrig dör ut för mig är Thåström. En av hans bästa låtar är Släpp aldrig in dom här. Jag har nyligen hittat den, eller nyligen nyligen. Några år. Men den är så vacker, så talande. Jag mår bra, ett lung varje gång jag hör den.
